How-To Details
The following instructions deal with concrete, tile installation, trimming tile, component assembly and installation, painting lines, and many other construction oriented tasks. These are suggested techniques and intended only to give you a broad and general understanding of the scope of work involved in gamecourt construction and flooring installation. Many of the most frequent questions are addressed here.
PLEASE NOTE: These instructions are not intended to completely educate you and YOU ARE ULTIMATELY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE PROCESS, FINISHED PRODUCT, AND SAFETY ON THE JOB. Reading these instructions should familiarize you with some of the terms and concepts of and allow you to more clearly communicate with contractors and installers. Court Tile Discounters bears no responsibility for damage or injury arising from any portion of these posted suggestions, which are typically performed by construction professionals. The performance of these tasks should not be undertaken by anyone without working experience with the necessary tools, equipment, and procedures.
A professional gamecourt builder will typically have more materials on hand than are necessary to finish the job so that if a mistake is made or a component is damaged during transport, it can be replaced. Component and part replacement can take time. Carefully inspect all materials when the shipment arrives so that if a critical piece needs to be shipped your assembly is not delayed unnecessarily. As with any construction project, if there is any portion of the job you are unfamiliar with, please contact a professional.
Prior to digging any hole or excavation, have all underground utilities located and marked. Keep all tools out of the reach of children. Any project not completed, should be secured and marked to protect people from injury. All electrical hook- ups should be performed by a licensed electrician. Some components are heavy, particularly when they’re fully extended (ex: an 18’ tall light). Please make sure that you have adequate help on hand. We recommend at least three people to assemble a basketball goal system and sports light.
